things
Tomorrow, I have my one on one meeting with the volunteer coordinator at Pawmetto Lifeline, but I’m going to have to reschedule it because Jessica’s final wedding dress fitting is at the same time! Ahh! And also because I would be figuring out my volunteer schedule at the meeting, and as of today, I’m not sure what my schedule will be because… I GOT A JOB! At George Fulton’s studio. (If you’ve ever been to the ADDYs here, he’s the photog that wins everything). I’m going in Wednesday to get thrown into things and to see how it goes. It’ll be part time at first, but if all goes well, I’ll be taking over as 1st assistant/manager/whathaveyou soon!!!
The irony of this is that I’ve spent the past few months sending out so, so many applications and inquires for jobs to only be rejected or to simply not hear back, and with this, I didn’t even apply (that’s because I didn’t know about it). I was at Drip with Malia on Friday when I got a call from George saying that Gordon, one of my photo professors, recommended me to him for the job and from there we scheduled a meeting for today.
While my heart longs to reside somewhere elsewhere than Columbia, it’s just going to have to be patient. This is going to be such great experience and I am going to learn so much. I absolutely can’t wait!!! I’m so ready to get back to being super busy and productive. I think this will bring forth lots of new motivation and inspiration.
I feel like I shouldn’t be posting this until things are really official official since I am a big worry wort, but I’m sure things will be swell.
…On a completely unrelated note, I got sunburned really bad last week. It turned into a tan, but then I started to peel. The peeled part of my back now looks like Australia. Ew.
