I lived here a little over a year ago, and luckilly it never flooded like this. 5 pts usually floods a few times a summer, though.
The two times I went out today, I completely missed the flooding everywhere around the area of Columbia that I live. I was out before the storm, and then after. I was wondering why streets were blocked off… only to come home and see photos posted.
WELP! I’m just glad my car wasn’t a victim, and I wish I could have gotten to take some photos.

The new Undefined came out yesterday! Here are the photos I shot for it.
Also, please check out Whitney’s art. She is so incredibly talented and I absolutely love her work!

A little sumtin’ sumtin’ from the shoot I did for Undefined this weekend. The spread is going to be featuring an incredibly talented young painter. Her work is my favorite out of all the Columbia artists’ work I’ve seen. No offence to other artists… but for real!

I feel and look like I just took a shower in my clothes. I was so sweaty that my fingers were pruney. I have a five head. I was pushed around so much. Aaron Weiss touched my hand during the show. I got my (first edition) vinyl copy of Catch for Us the Foxes signed. I bought a screenprinted poster to add to my wall. I feel like I may have come close to passing out because there were so many people and it was so hot that I could not breathe. My ears will be ringing for days. My throat will probably be sore for a while due to yelling my lungs out. (I wish people poured water over the audience like at the show last summer, and I wish there were bouquets of roses being drummed with at the end. Should have brought them. I am dumb. WHAT AM I SAYING? AM I REALLY COMPLAINING ABOUT SOMETHING?!?!) alskdaf;sldfja;szdjf
BASICALLY WHAT I’M TRYING TO SAY IS…
WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS HOW AMAZING TONIGHT WAS.
I CAN’T EVEN. I. CAN’T. EVEN.
mewithoutYou will forever and always have my heart.
Here’s a photo of tonight’s set list that they just tweeted:

sidenote: I did a photoshoot today. First time I’ve done a shoot in a while. The photos will be in the September issue of Undefined magazine. I’ll be sure to let you guys know when it comes out and post the spread, aaaand inform you about the (probable) release party. OH, anddd instead of having my photo in the contributor’s section, an artist is sketching mah face! How cool!

The Internet has been out at my house and on top of that, the new charger for my computer stopped working, and the one I exchanged it for wouldn’t work… And I finally have one that will actually charge my computer thanks to my mom’s Best Buy hook-ups (she used to work there) BUT without internet… I can’t post the rest of my NYC photos! So, here’s this. From my phone. Me just enjoying the comfort of being home. I’ve really enjoyed my time since I got back to Columbia. I went out with my best friends the first night and saw a lot of lovely faces I’ve missed. Went to dinner and a movie with some dear fiends the next night and was going to go out again but Columbia decided have a monsoon, so after rescuing a friend with car troubles, I spent the night in with him and my roommate and a bottle of wine… and macaroni & cheese. No complaints from me. Yesterday afternoon I took the most amazing nap ever and woke up to the sound of cicadas. It made me realize how, in spite of the heat, southern summers are the best. I LOVED my summer in New York, but I wish I had more time to enjoy the summer in SC. I haven’t even gone to Charleston yet this summer! Or the river! Tonight I think I’m staying in again, but I’ve already had a wonderful evening at a new coffee shop with the also wonderful Steph! We talked for hours. It was great. We’d been talking about really hanging out forever and I’m so happy we finally did. :) Monday marks the start of Garnet & Black with the Org. Fair and I am so very excited! Classes start Thursday and I’m awfully scares about the work load. Someone tell me I can do it. I can do 19 hours/6 classes. Four of which are studio classes and another has a lab. And be photo editor of G&B. And continue to make Dean’s list. Send positive thinking my way, please! WELP. I’m sure hardly anyone read all of this, cause it’s boring. (PS- since I’m posting this from my phone and can’t make links within it, click through for Steph’s tumblr. And follow her. Cause you should.)
