Closed a big chapter of my life this past week/month.
Goodbye to the old. I’m anxious for whatever the new will be.

Can we just re-visit this spread for a moment? It’s so beautiful. And curvy. I gave Vogue Italia so much kudos when this came out last year.

I’ve been planning this for a while. I made the switch from Cargo Collective back to Wordpress to host my portfolio. I think it looks the best it’s ever looked and with that comes a few new works.

• A wider edit of my thesis project called “Native Place”
• A 29-image edit of some 6x7 photographs I shot during the summer of 2011 called “One Southern Summer” 
• 40% more jQuery.

Well I guess that’s it. But’s certainly tighter, leaner, and more consistent. There’s a few more things to work into the site, but it’s getting there. Take a look!

Yeaaa Eliot!!!

I’m so lucky to have studied under such wonderful photographers and people, Eliot being one of them.

A lot of what’s been going into my inspiration folder has been very Noir inspired. And last night, I got more sleep than I bargained for. So with the mixture of inspiration and much needed sleep, I did some Noir inspired self portraits.

Here are a few of ‘em.

The artist statement is yet to go up on that class’s site- but I’ll post it here once my show goes up, titled “En-Route.”

Just got done with the Art Department awards ceremony and a celebratory dinner at Hunter Gatherer with my parents. I won the Ed Yaghian Art Studio Award in Photography! So honored. :)

So uh, mine and Alicia’s BFA Thesis Exhibition is next week. You should come! It’ll be before the G&B launch party that night.

And for extra incentive other than art, there will be free food and drinks! Liberty Taproom will be contributing. 

This next week is about to be hella stressful. And awesome.

Digital test shot for some photos I’m taking for my adv. b&w film class. 

Sadly, I didn’t get to shoot them tonight as the self timer was being a little pain in the ass and not cooperating. So tomorrow, I get to shoot, develop, AND print. So much for catching up on sleep!

This is a self portrait, if you couldn’t tell. I’m going to focus on the disdain I have for my body. I’ll just focusing on the parts I hate just because of the pain they cause me: my neck and my back. (I don’t think I can take photos that document the rest of me that I don’t like because I am like every human, and am simply not happy with my body and am very self conscience. )

Now to write a take home essay and try and get some sleep. I’ve got a long day tomorrow that starts early with TOAST (The Outstanding Achievement and Student Triumph) Breakfast. Super cheesy name, but at least I get free breakfast as a token of appreciation from the university to student leaders!

Yesterday was my last G&B style shoot as photo editor. Wahhh!
