Closed a big chapter of my life this past week/month.Goodbye to the old. I’m anxious for whatever the new will be.
This image wasn’t exactly thoroughly planned out, as I’m in comfy clothes for moving and am a sweatball. Ha!

Just took a portrait of Britt for her graduation invites. Here’s a test shot from that with Penny!
I swear I will make Penny into a cat model. A plus sized cat model, ‘cause she’s a curvy girl.
Also, I obviously have beautiful roommates/best friends.

Lighting test from a shoot I did the other day.
Y’all see why I was in dire need of a haircut?!

OH HEY it’s Claire! She cute.
We shot 4x5s in my adv. b&w class last week. I’ve only shot with one a couple times, but I really enjoy it, but it also scares me.

Here are some headshots I shot the other day! I was about to post this and be all like “SO, WHO WANTS ME TO TAKE THEIR HEADSHOTS/PROMOS/ETC?!” because I just opened up a savings account on account of I’m graduating in May and trynna get my ass up to NYC asap after that.

BUT THEN I remembered… wait… it’s Christmas in a few days. Then I’m going to the beach with my family. Then I have to get everything ready for the gallery show that has to be up by the 8th. And then it’s the new semester. And G&B starts back up.

Shit.

Really, though. If you need photos, let me know and we’ll figure SOMETHING out. Hopefully. Someday. Eventually. Cause I want to take your photos. And your monies.

ARTS 564 (alt process photography) final. Portfolio reviews are over and I’m done with all of my projects! Just 2 exams and some homework between me and winter break. :) AND I just had my senior check and turns out I get to drop one of my classes next semester (read: LAST UNDERGRAD SEMESTER EVER) so I’m taking 18 hours instead of 21!!! BEST news ever.

Photo of myself for my project. This roll was shot with a Mamiya 645. I love that camera as well, but man, I’m still head over heels for the RB67.

SO UM… I have fallen completely in love with a camera. That camera is the Mamiya RB67.
It’s absolutely everything I want in a film camera. In fact, if it wasn’t so pricey to only shoot in film/if I didn’t need to instantly see photos I shot when doing things for the magazine, I would totally favor it over my DSLR.
I just wish I got my hands on this baby earlier this semester. As reviews for our projects are NEXT FREAKING WEEK. I’m glad I have 561 next semester to continue and expand on it, though. Just bummed I won’t be as happy with what I’ve got so far for the review.

After I took the photos I just posted, I had some fun with my softbox. My profile looks off here.
Oh yeah, and can someone please tell me why I ordered a wireless shutter remote three weeks ago… AND I STILL HAVEN’T GOTTEN IT??!

I love this photo of Julie. I think it’s the tones and the light that make it, but it’s just exactly the feel I want to capture for my project. And it’s not square! It works better this way as opposed to square. It took me a while to get over that but whatever.
It’s a little late to finally have a good grasp of how I want my project to look and feel, but late is better than never. I’m hoping everything comes together for the final critique after this one and that I get a lot of valuable feedback tomorrow.
